While serving as Marketing Director for HK Architects, Teal Thibaud provided creative direction and project management for Park(ing) Day 2022 in Chattanooga, TN. The display received the award for Most Innovative!

The theme was “Inside Out” and portrayed the things we’ve done indoors the past few years back outside. By using reusable and found material, HK Architect's Wonder Space offered users a playful perspective on how we collectively altered our spaces during the pandemic.

The blank canvas represented early March of 2020 when we collectively had no idea what we were about to go through. Inside the canvas was a sea of streamers, each color representing a different skill, activity, or feeling that the HK team identified with during the pandemic. The streamers symbolized everything from learning how to bake bread to spending more time with family to feeling all the emotions, all the time. Participants chose a streamer that resonated with them, which was added to the fabric that illustrated our collective pandemic experience.
