Little Things Lab was commissioned to create a temporary and participatory installation that artistically engaged participants attending United Way Chattanooga's 100th Year Block Party.
The 75-foot long art installation included five stations:
What Matters to You, Matters to Us: activity where users placed a ping pong ball in one of three service areas that mattered most to them
Tied Together: users weaved fabric through ropes to symbolize how we can create something beautiful by working together
The Faces of our Community Help Shape Our Community: four mural walls that included an Alecia Vera original of face shapes where users filled in faces with markers and added paint to different shapes showcasing the diversity of our region
Caption This: frames installed in a grid for polaroid photos with United Way's '100 ways' showcased on the other side. Users picked a card and posed in front of another Alecia Vera 3D mural, Helping Hands
High Five: larger than life hands that participants could high five for being involved in all the good United Way does in our community.
