Teal Thibaud
Teal is a civic design professional with over a decade of creative placemaking work experience. She co-founded and led Glass House Collective for over ten years, an organization focused on creative community development in an under-resourced neighborhood in Chattanooga, TN. Teal established her own consulting firm, Little Things Lab, in 2021. She has a skill and passion for utilizing the arts to create positive change and works alongside individuals and organizations across multiple sectors. As a community builder and innovator, she wrangles the power of the arts to change a community’s trajectory.
Teal participated in the 2018 National Arts Strategies CEO Program in a cohort of leaders of arts organizations across the country. Her work has been featured in Architect Magazine, Next City and twice in the New York Times. Her How-to Guide was displayed in the NYC Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum as a part of the exhibit “By the People: Designing a Better America.” Teal has been a featured speaker at conferences sponsored by Project for Public Spaces, National Endowment of the Arts, Urban Land Institute, Artplace America, AIA TN, and American Planning Association.
