Meagan Shinn
Meagan Shinn has spent the last decade activating public spaces through creative events, public art projects and community engagement. From overall programming strategy to coordinating the nitty gritty details, Shinn thrives managing projects from vision to completion. With a real passion for the arts and all things local, Shinn works to develop projects that build community, enhance economic development and move cities forward.
In her time as Program Director at River City Company, Shinn worked to conduct outreach and facilitated 146 days of programming in Miller Park upon its first year after renovations. From concert series to a city wide game of musical chairs, Miller Park became the most foot trafficked public space in Downtown Chattanooga. She was also responsible for managing the creation of a new public space, Cooper’s Alley, which remains an iconic Chattanooga destination for visitors and locals alike.
Shinn has managed projects that have won recognition from Americans for the Arts, Archizer A+ Awards and the International Downtown Association. She was selected to present at the 2018 Projects for Public Spaces Annual Placemaking Week in Amsterdam as well as the 2019 Placemaking Week in Chattanooga, TN. Shinn is excited to add her expertise in program development, grant writing, public space activation and arts administration to the Little Things team.
